Welcome to Charity Gala 2018!
As the Madison Club Charitable Foundation continues its pledge to improving achievement and opportunity gaps in education, it is proud to recognize Literacy Network as the beneficiary of this year's Charity Gala. Please join us on Saturday, November 10 to support their proven, two-generational approach to bolstering academic success for underserved families in our area.
Low literacy impacts families through generations. Here in Dane County it is estimated that 1 in 7 adults struggle with low literacy. Each time we support an adult on their journey to improving their literacy we support them, their family, their employment and their community. 95% of Literacy Network's students are people of color. Most are parents, and many have less than a sixth-grade education. With a fundraising goal of more than $100,000, the proceeds from our event will allow Literacy Network to serve more than 100 more students over the next year.
Please support the effort by donating items for our auction, purchasing tickets to the event, or sponsoring the Madison Club Charitable Foundation's Gala.
Thank you in advance for your support and for your commitment to the Madison Club Charitable Foundation and Literacy Network of Dane County!
The Madison Club Charitable Foundation has raised more than $1.1 million for local non-profit organizations over the last thirteen years. The Foundation's signature event, the Charity Gala, is hosted each fall at the Madison Club. Past recipients have included Porchlight, the Ronald McDonald House, Centro Hispano, 100 Black Men of Madison, Simpson Street Free Press, among many others.
From January 1 - February 15 each year, Madison Club members are invited to submit grant requests on behalf of any non-profit organization in the Dane County area. The final Gala recipient is determined by the Foundation's board of directors based on the grant proposal, a site visit, and in-person interviews with key individuals within the organization. To learn how you can nominate an organization, please contact Krista Laubmeier at the Madison Club: email@example.com or visit the Madison Club Charitable Foundation's website on or after January 1, 2019.
